Dress for Success Winnipeg is a part of the South Winnipeg Family Information Centre.

South Winnipeg Family Information Center was established in the fall of 1974 due to community interest. At that time, the basic aim of establishing a family center was to provide programs and information to enhance the quality of family life in the community.

In 1997, the South Winnipeg Family Information Center started a program called the Clothes Closet, which operated for 22 years before becoming a Dress for Success Affiliate in 2019. We are proud to honour the Clothes Closet's legacy under our new name as we continue the important work of giving women the gift of confidence.
