What are affiliates? How do they operate?

Each Dress for Success affiliate location is a member of Dress for Success Worldwide and is an independent non-profit organization with its own policies, staff and board of directors. The Worldwide office licenses the Dress for Success name to affiliates, all of whom fulfill the overall mission of helping women journey towards self-sufficiency. Affiliates provide services to their communities based on local needs, cultural traditions and resources.

What is Dress for Success Worldwide?

Located in New York City, Dress for Success Worldwide was established to oversee and provide support to our affiliates around the globe. The Worldwide office also focuses on strengthening and promoting the Dress for Success brand internationally and developing relationships with corporate, media and other sponsors. How can I make a clothing donation?

Dress for Success relies on individual contributions of business attire and accessories to make our clients look and feel their best! Check out our list of affiliate locations to find the one closest to you. Each Dress for Success location has its own hours of operation, specific drop-off days and times and policies regarding what items they can and cannot accept. What type of clothing and products does Dress for Success accept?

To ensure that an article of clothing or suit is appropriate for our clients, ask yourself if you would feel comfortable wearing it in an interview. If the answer is yes, then we would accept it. Learn about your local affiliate’s donation policies by clicking here.

Will my local affiliate pick up my donation?

Dress for Success is a volunteer-run organization, and most locations do not have the necessary resources or staff to provide this service. Please contact your local affiliate for more information about its donation policies.

How can I become a volunteer? What volunteer opportunities are available in my community?

How can I make a financial gift to my local affiliate?

You can mail monetary contributions to Dress for Success Winnipeg at 800 Point Road, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3T 3L8. Please make all checks payable to South Winnipeg Family Information Centre. Credit card donations can be made by visiting our donations page.

How can I make a financial gift to Dress for Success Worldwide?

You can mail monetary contributions to Dress for Success Worldwide at 32 East 31st Street, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10016. Please make all checks payable to Dress for Success Worldwide. Credit card donations can be made by visiting our donations page or sending an e-mail to donate@dressforsuccess.org. My company would like to donate new merchandise to Dress for Success. Whom do I contact?

I want to start an affiliate in my community. How can I find more information or learn if one is starting near me?

How can I organize a suit drive?

Contact your local Dress for Success directly to find out about the organization’s needs and how to obtain a suit drive kit. Some affiliates hold other types of drives as well and collect pantyhose, accessories, shoes or funds to purchase items.
